Rough sawn maple keeps the saw marks from the mill visible under the finish, so every piece carries a textured surface that flat-sawn lumber cannot reproduce. The Livingston Bedroom set is built entirely from it. An almond stain lets that texture come forward without hiding under a heavy topcoat.
