The Cabinet
Hickory is one of the hardest domestic hardwoods we work with, and the Monarch Cabinet uses it for exactly that reason. The 48×48 case wears an Almond stain, which leaves the natural color variation between hickory heartwood and sapwood visible rather than tinting it uniform. SKU 33318 pairs with the Monarch Stationary (SKU 33319).
Notes
Cabinets take dings differently than dining tables: they take fewer of them, but the ones they get come from being pushed against by chairs, vacuums, and moving boxes. Hickory absorbs those impacts without much surface damage, which extends the useful life of the piece considerably.
