Century Edge River Table

The Story

Rustic walnut is a coarser cut than domestic-grade walnut, with more knots, sapwood streaks, and grain variation visible on any given board. Rather than cull those irregularities, this table foregrounds them. The top runs 42 by 60 inches with a natural finish that reads the walnut close to raw.

Specs

The tabletop is walnut through and through, not a veneer laid over a plywood core. A black epoxy river fills the natural void through the middle of the slab and cures to a hard, level surface. The stain is a natural clear that lets the walnut’s chocolate tones and figured sections show without tinting.

What You’ll Notice

The contrast between the epoxy river and the raw walnut is sharp and intentional. Look closely along the river edges and you will see how the epoxy sits flush with the wood surface rather than dipping below it. That flush finish means dishes and glassware sit level across the transition, no rocking or sliding.

In the Room

A 42×60 top seats six comfortably, so this table works for standard-sized dining spaces without requiring extra floor. Cross-reference it against similar tops in our dining table range if you want to compare live-edge and river-table variations before committing.
